Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE:
NOTE:LHD shown RHD similar.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer toSection 414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.

  1. Remove the upper steering column shroud.

  1. Remove the lower steering column shroud.
    1. Remove the screws.
    1. Remove the lower steering column shroud.

  1. Disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Lower steering column to lowest tilt position.
    Remove the ignition switch.
    1. Depress the two tabs.
    1. Remove the ignition switch.
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
