Remove the front bumper. For additional information, refer to Section 501-19 Bumpers. | | -
Remove the clips and the left-hand cover. | Vehicles built up to 03/2003 | -
WARNING:Whenever releasing the transaxle cooling system fluid, take care to prevent fluid scalding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury. CAUTION:Plug the fluid cooler tubes to prevent fluid loss or dirt ingress. NOTE:Mark the position of the feed and return hose. NOTE:Collect escaping fluid using a drain pan. Disconnect the feed and return hose from the transmission fluid cooler. | Vehicles built 03/2003 onwards | -
Using the special tool, disconnect the fluid cooler pipes. - Insert the special tool into the quick release coupling.
- Slide the special tool along the pipe to release the locking tangs.
- Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

Remove the transmission fluid cooler. - Lift the cooler off the bracket.

Install the transmission fluid cooler. - Push the cooler into the bracket holes.

Connect the feed and the return hose to the transmission fluid cooler. | Vehicles built 03/2003 onwards | -
Connect the fluid cooler pipes. | All vehicles | -
Install the clips and the left-hand cover. | | -
