WARNING:Whenever releasing the transaxle cooling system fluid, take care to prevent fluid scalding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury. NOTE:Plug the fluid cooler tubes to prevent fluid loss and dirt ingress. | Vehicles built up to 03/2003 | -
NOTE:Mark the positions of the feed and return hose. NOTE:Collect escaping fluid in a drain pan. Disconnect the feed and return hose from the transmission fluid cooler. | Vehicles built 03/2003 onwards | -
Using the special tool, disconnect the fluid cooler pipes. - Insert the special tool into the quick release coupling.
- Slide the special tool along the pipe to release the locking tangs.
- Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

CAUTION:Prevent the fluid pipe adapter from turning using an open-ended wrench, do not remove it from the transaxle housing. Detach the fluid cooler pipe from the transaxle. - Close off the openings using suitable plugs.

CAUTION:Prevent the fluid pipe adapter from turning using an open-ended wrench, do not remove it from the transaxle housing. Detach the fluid cooler pipe from the transaxle. - Detach the fluid pipe bracket from the transaxle.
- Close off the openings using suitable plugs.

CAUTION:Prevent the fluid pipe adapter from turning using an open-ended wrench, do not remove it from the transaxle housing. Attach the fluid cooler pipe to the transaxle. - Attach the fluid pipe bracket to the transaxle.

Connect the feed and return hose to the transaxle. - Connect the feed tube.
- Connect the return tube.
