In-vehicle Repair

Removal

All vehicles
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.
All except vehicles with diesel engine
  1. Remove the vehicle speed sensor (VSS).
    • Disconnect the VSS electrical connector.
    • Remove the retaining bolt.
Vehicles with diesel engine
  1. Remove the VSS.
    • Disconnect the VSS electrical connector.
    • Remove the retaining pin.

Installation

Vehicles with diesel engine
  1. Install the VSS.
    • Install the retaining pin.
    • Connect the VSS electrical connector.
All except vehicles with diesel engine
  1. Install the VSS.
    • Install the retaining bolt.
    • Connect the VSS electrical connector.
All vehicles
  1. Lower the vehicle.
