Removal and Installation

Removal

WARNING:
WARNING:Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel related components. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and can ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  1. De-pressurize the fuel system. For additional information, refer to Section  310-00 Fuel System - General Information.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Disconnect the fuel filter supply line and the fuel rail supply line from the fuel filter. For additional information, refer to Section  310-00 Fuel System - General Information.

  1. Remove the fuel filter clamp retaining bolt.

  1. Remove the fuel filter.

Installation
  1. WARNING:

    NOTE:
    NOTE:Observe the direction of the flow arrow.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
