Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE:
NOTE:Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Evacuate the air conditioning (A/C) system.
    Refer to: Klimaanlage entleeren, evakuieren und befüllen (412-00 Innenraumklimatisierung - Allgemeine Informationen, General Procedures).
  1. Remove the right-hand headlamp assembly.
    Refer to: Scheinwerfer (417-01 Außenbeleuchtung, Removal and Installation).

  1. Torque: 5 Nm

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
    Refer to: Anheben mit Hebebühne (100-02 Fahrzeug anheben, Description and Operation).

Vehicles with intercooler
  1. Remove the intercooler.
    Refer to: Ladeluftkühler (303-12B Ansaugsystem - 2.5L Duratec-ST (VI5), Removal and Installation).
All vehicles

Installation

  1. Coat the O-rings on the refrigerant lines.
    Material: Refrigerant Oil
  1. Install the components in reverse order.
