Removal and Installation

WARNING:

Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel related components. Highly flammable vapors are always present and may ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

WARNING:

This procedure involves fuel handling. Be prepared for fuel spillage at all times and always observe fuel handling precautions. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

NOTE:

The fuel lines must never be needlessly vented. Whenever possible the vehicle should be driven until the LPG supply is depleted and the vehicle switches to petrol.

1. Remove fuse two from the auxiliary electrical box (this will isolate the fuel tank solenoid).

2. Loosen the fuel filter vent plug slowly to allow the small amount of LPG in the fuel filter housing and the filler pipe to be vented.

3. Tighten the fuel filter vent plug.

NOTE:

The fuel filter element can now be changed. For additional information, refer to the procedure in this section: Fuel filter element.

WARNING:

Allow the vehicle to stand for five minutes to allow the LPG to disperse. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.

4. Install fuse 2 in the auxiliary electrical box.
