Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the transmission. For additional information, refer to Section  308-03A Manual Transmission/Transaxle / 308-03B Manual Transmission/Transaxle / 308-03C Manual Transmission/Transaxle.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:With the aid of another technician support the gearshift shaft connector to prevent damage to the gearshift shaft and gearshift shaft bearing.
    Remove the gearshift shaft connector.
    • Discard the nut.
    • Discard the pin.

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Install a new gearshift shaft connector retaining nut.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Install a new pin.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
