Front Suspension - Front Strut and Spring Assembly Transit 2006.5 (04/2006-)
Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the wheel and tire.
    For additional information, refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04 Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).

  1. Detach the wheel speed sensor bracket from the strut and spring assembly.

  1. Detach the stabilizer bar link from the strut and spring assembly.

  1. Detach the brake caliper and anchor plate from the wheel knuckle.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Suspend the brake caliper and anchor plate to prevent load being placed on the brake hose.
    Suspend the brake caliper and anchor plate.

  1. Detach the wheel knuckle from the suspension strut.
    • Discard the bolt and nut.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:With the aid of another technician, support the strut and spring assembly.
    Remove the strut and spring assembly.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
