Removal and Installation

Special Tool(s)

Remover/Installer,Wheel hub/Wheel bearing

Removal

  1. Remove the brake disc. For additional information, refer to: (206-03 Front Disc Brake)
    Brake Disc - RWD (Removal and Installation),
    Brake Disc - FWD (Removal and Installation).
  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Make sure that an additional washer and nut are installed.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Note the position of the component before removal.
    Remove the front wheel bearing from the wheel hub.
    Number Description
    1 Additional washer

  1. Remove the front wheel bearing cage and rollers from the front wheel bearing inner race.
  1. Remove the front wheel bearing inner race from the wheel hub.

Installation

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that the special tool is correctly located.
    CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Not following the work instruction leads to destruction of the components.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure that this component is installed to the noted removal position.
    Install the front wheel bearing.
    Number Description
    1 Front wheel bearing
    1. Push the front wheel bearing onto the wheel hub approximately 1/3 of the hole distance.
    1. Rotate the front wheel bearing minimum of 5 turns.
    1. Push the front wheel bearing onto the wheel hub approximately 1/2 of the remaining distance.
    1. Rotate the front wheel bearing minimum of 5 turns.
    1. Push the front wheel bearing onto the wheel hub on final position .
    1. Rotate the front wheel bearing minimum of 5 turns.

  1. Remove the special tool.
  1. Install the brake disc. For additional information, refer to: (206-03 Front Disc Brake)
