1. Remove the axle shaft. For additional information, refer to: (205-02B Wheel Hubs and Bearings - Full Floating Axle)

   Axle Shaft - Vehicles With: Single Rear Wheels (Removal and Installation),

   Axle Shaft - Vehicles With: Twin Rear Wheels (Removal and Installation).

2. 

   WARNING:Make sure that no load is placed on the brake hose.
   Detach the brake caliper anchor plate from the rear axle.
   • Secure the brake caliper to one side.

3. 

   NOTE:LHS wheel hub retaining nut has a left-hand thread.
   

   NOTE:LHS nut has a yellow nylock ring.
   

   NOTE:RHS nut has a blue nylock ring.
   Remove the wheel hub retaining nut.
   • Discard the wheel hub retaining nut.

4. 

   NOTE:LHS wheel hub spindle has a left-hand thread.
   Install the special tool and remove the wheel hub.

5. Remove the brake disc.
   For additional information, refer to: Brake Disc - RWD (206-04 Rear Disc Brake, Removal and Installation).
   

1. 

   CAUTION:Install a new wheel hub retaining nut.
   

   NOTE:Make sure that the threads are clean, free of foreign material and lubricant.
   To install, reverse the removal procedure.

   WARNING:Depress the brake pedal.
