Parking Brake and Actuation - Parking Brake Intermediate Cable Transit 2006.5 (04/2006-)
Removal and Installation

Removal

All vehicles
  1. Release the parking brake.
Vehicles with rear drum brakes
  1. Detach the parking brake intermediate cable from the equalizer.
    1. Remove the adjustment nut.
    1. Detach the cable.

  1. Remove the parking brake intermediate cable.
Vehicles with rear disc brakes
  1. Detach the parking brake intermediate rod from the equalizer.
    1. Remove the adjustment nuts.
    1. Detach the rod.

  1. Remove the parking brake intermediate rod.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Adjust the parking brake. For additional information, refer to: (206-05A Parking Brake and Actuation)
