Transmission jack
  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that the locating dowels remain installed.

  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Make sure that the transmission is secured with suitable retaining straps.
    CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that the transmission is installed straight in relation to the engine to prevent damage to the pilot bearing.
    General Equipment: Transmission jack

  1. Torque: 40 Nm

  1. Torque: 40 Nm

  1.  
    1. Torque: 40 Nm
    1. Torque: 35 Nm

  1.  
    1. Support the transmission.
      General Equipment: Transmission jack
    1. Remove the securing strap.
    1. Remove the transmission jack.

  1. Remove the following items:
    • Wooden block

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure that a new component is installed.
    Material: Grease

  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Make sure that the half shaft is correctly installed.
    On both sides.

  1. Torque: 80 Nm

  1.  
    1. General Equipment: Transmission jack
      Torque: 300 Nm
    1. Torque: 175 Nm

  1.  
    1. On both sides.
      Torque: 55 Nm
    1. On both sides.
      Torque: 80 Nm
    1. On both sides.
      Refer to: Specifications (308-03D Manual Transmission/Transaxle - Vehicles With: 6-Speed Manual Transmission (MT82 4x4), Specifications).

  1. Torque: 55 Nm

  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
    CAUTION:
    CAUTION:If the fluid is spilled on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.

  1. Torque: 3 Nm

  1. Torque: 23 Nm

    1. WARNING:
      WARNING:Make sure that new bolts are installed.
      Torque: 175 Nm
    1. WARNING:
      WARNING:Make sure that new bolts are installed.
      Torque: 22 Nm

  1. General Equipment: Blind rivet gun

  1. Torque: 48 Nm
  1. Refer to: Transmission Draining and Filling (308-03D Manual Transmission/Transaxle - Vehicles With: 6-Speed Manual Transmission (MT82 4x4), General Procedures).
  1. Refer to: Gearshift Cable Adjustment - Vehicles With: MT82/MT-75 (308-00 Manual Transmission/Transaxle and Clutch - General Information, General Procedures).
  1. Check the front toe adjustment, adjust if necessary.
    Refer to: Specifications (204-00 Suspension System - General Information, Specifications).
