Disassembly and Assembly

Special Tool(s)

Remover / installer, coolant hose clips

Disassembly
  1. Remove the blower motor resistor
    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    1. Remove the retaining bolts.

  1. Remove the blower motor.
    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    1. Detach the resistor cooling air hose from the blower motor.
    1. Remove the retaining bolts.

  1. Remove the booster heater module.
    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    1. Remove the retaining bolts.

  1. Remove the rear air distribution flap actuator.
    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    1. Remove the retaining bolts.
    1. Disconnect the actuator connecting linkage.

  1. Remove the booster heater valve.

  1. Remove the lower booster heater housing.
    1. Remove the bolt.
    1. Remove the seven clips.
    1. Detach the refrigerant line bracket.
    1. Pull the lower booster heater housing upward.
  1. Remove the evaporator.

  1. Separate the upper booster heater housing.
    1. Remove the seven clips.
    1. Remove the seal.

  1. Disassemble the booster heat exchanger housing.

  1. Remove the booster heat exchanger.

Assembly

  1. For installation, reverse the removal procedure.
