Removal

NOTE:
NOTE:Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
All vehicles
  1. Drain the air conditioning system.
    Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging (412-00 Climate Control System - General Information, General Procedures).
  1. Remove the left-hand headlamp.
    Refer to: Headlamp Assembly (417-01 Exterior Lighting, Removal and Installation).

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make certain that all openings are sealed.
    Torque: 8 Nm
  1. Raise the vehicle for access.
    Refer to: Lifting (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make certain that all openings are sealed.
    Torque: 20 Nm
Vehicles with additional air conditioning system

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make certain that all openings are sealed.
    Torque: 8 Nm
All vehicles

  1. Torque: 8 Nm

  1. Torque: 8 Nm

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Coat the O-rings for the refrigerant lines with clean refrigerant oil.
    Material: Refrigerant Oil
