through one of the holes in the pulley.
4. Use a nylon wire tie to hold fan drive belt (2) in place.
5. Tighten the wire tie to hold the drive belt (2) in position.
6. Using a suitable tool, rotate the crankshaft pulley (3) clockwise
7. Make sure the fan drive belt (2) is fully seated.
8. Install the radiator fan and shroud assembly.
Cooling Fan Serpentine Belt With Rear A/C
3.0L COOLING FAN SERPENTINE BELT WITH REAR A/C
CAUTION:
Do not attempt to check belt tension with a belt tension gauge on vehicles equipped with an automatic belt tensioner.
1. Position the fan drive belt (3) onto the fan pulley (2).
2. Position the fan drive belt (3) onto the crankshaft pulley (3).
3. Using a suitable tool, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner (1) counterclockwise and position the drive belt onto the the accessory drive belt
tensioner (1) and the rear A/C compressor pulley.
4. Slowly release the accessory drive belt tensioner (2).
CAUTION:
Do not let tensioner arm snap back to the freearm position, severe damage may occur to the tensioner.
5. Make sure the fan drive belt (3) is fully seated around all pulleys.
6. Install the radiator fan and shroud assembly.
