Oil Cooler: Service and Repair
Engine Oil Cooler - Removal
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the cooling system.
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly See: Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair.
4. Remove the coolant reservoir and hoses.
5. Remove the charge air cooler hose between turbocharger and cooler.
6. Remove the turbocharger.See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Turbocharger/Service and Repair/Turbocharger -
Removal.
7. Remove the lower radiator hose at the water pump housing assembly.
8. Remove the water pump housing assembly.
9. Remove the engine oil cooler.
