EGR Cooler: Service and Repair
Installation
INSTALLATION
1. Clean the front and rear EGR tube gasket mounting surfaces.
2. Install the EGR cooler (3), the EGR throttle body bracket (2), and the two front EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolts (1). Do not tighten the front
EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolts at this time.
3. Install the rear EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolts (2). Do not tighten the rear EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolts at this time.
4. Install a new rear EGR tube gasket.
5. Install the 2 upper rear EGR tube bolts (1). Do not tighten the upper rear EGR tube bolts at this time.
6. Install the front EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolt (2). Do not tighten the front EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolts at this time.
7. Install the 2 upper front EGR tube bolts (1). Do not tighten the front EGR tube bolts at this time.
