Exhaust Pipe: Service and Repair
Exhaust Manifold Pipe Replacement (4.3L)
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the LH heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connection.
3. Disconnect the RH heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connection.
4. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (4.3L RWD) or Catalytic Converter Replacement (4.3L 4WD) shown
below.
5. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe to manifold flange nuts.
6. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe from the vehicle.
7. Remove the heated oxygen sensors (HO2S) as necessary.
