Installation Procedure
1. Install the heated oxygen sensors (HO2S) as necessary.
2. Install the exhaust manifold pipe to the vehicle.
3. Install the exhaust manifold pipe to manifold flange nuts.
Tighten the exhaust manifold pipe to manifold flange nuts to 53 N.m (39 lb ft).
4. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (4.3L RWD) or Catalytic Converter Replacement (4.3L 4WD) shown
below.
5. Connect the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connection.
6. Disconnect the RH heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connection.
7. Disconnect the LH heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connection.
8. Lower the vehicle.
