Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
Disassembly and Reassembly
Caliper Components
REMOVE
1. Drain all fluid from caliper.
2. Pad interior of caliper with clean shop towels.
CAUTION: Do not place your fingers in front of the piston in an attempt to catch or protect it when applying compressed air. This could result in
serious injury.
NOTE: Use Just enough air pressure to ease the piston out of the bore. Even with the padding, If the piston Is blown out It can be damaged.
3. Piston.
Removing The Caliper Boot
4. Boot.

Use care not to scratch the housing bore.
5. Piston seal.
