15. Remove the valve spring seat.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the valve spring seat. Lubricate the valve spring seal with clean engine oil in order to make assembly easier.
2. Install the new valve stem oil seal.
3. Set the valve spring in place.
4. Set the valve spring cap in place.
CAUTION: Make sure that the valve keys are properly seated. Engine damage could occur.
5. Compress the valve spring with the J 5892-D.
6. With air pressure still applied, install the valve keys. Use grease to hold the valve keys in place.
7. Remove the J 23590.
8. Remove the J 5892-D.
9. Install the spark plugs. Refer to Powertrain Management.
10. Install the valve rocker arms.
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
