Evaporator Case: Service and Repair
EVAPORATOR CORE
Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative and positive battery cables.
2. Recover refrigerant from the system.
3. Blower motor resistor.
4. Battery and battery tray.
5. Electrical connectors, as necessary.
6. Evaporator tube from evaporator.
7. Accumulator.
8. Coolant recovery reservoir.
9. VCM, or PCM.
10. Raise vehicle.
11. Right front wheel, and right front wheel house panel.
12. Evaporator and blower module screws and nuts.
13. Acoustic barrier (if equipped).
14. Evaporator and blower module from the vehicle.
15. Screws.
16. Case sections.
17. Core.
Install or Connect
1. Core.
2. Case sections.
3. Screws.
4. Evaporator and blower module to the vehicle.
5. Acoustic barrier (if equipped).
6. Evaporator and blower module screws and nuts.
Tighten
-
Bolts and stud to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).
-
Screw and nuts to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
7. Right front wheel and right front wheel house panel.
8. Lower vehicle.
9. VCM, or PCM.
10. Coolant recovery reservoir.
11. Accumulator.
12. Evaporator tube to evaporator.
