Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Recover refrigerant from the system.
3. Evaporator and accumulator hose from evaporator.
4. O-ring seal.
5. Evaporator and accumulator hose from accumulator.
6. O-ring seal.

Cap or plug all open connections.
Install or Connect
1. New O-ring seal.

Coat O-ring seal with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
2. Evaporator and accumulator hose to accumulator.
Tighten
-
Hose to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).
3. New O-ring seal.
-
Coat O-ring seal with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
4. Evaporator and accumulator hose to evaporator.
Tighten
-
Hose to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).
5. Negative battery cable.
6. Refrigerant to the system.

Check the system for leaks.
Compressor Sealing Washers
IMPORTANT: Use the correct washers. There should be a space of 1.2 mm (0.047 in) between the suction/discharge hose block and the compressor
rear head.
1. Clean all of the sealing surfaces with a lint-free rag in order to prevent dirt or foreign material from getting into the following sealing surface
components:

The washers
-
The hose block
-
The compressor ports
2. Install the sealing washer onto the pilots of the suction/discharge fitting.
Ensure that the washers are seated against the surface of the blockfitting.
