Steering Wheel: Service and Repair
Steering Wheel Replacement

NOTE:The Special Service Tool (SST)l required to complete this job is a J 1859-A steering wheel puller.

PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disable the SRS.

3. Remove the inflator module.

4. Disconnect the steering wheel horn contact.

5. Remove the nut that retains the steering wheel to the steering shaft. Note the relationship of the steering wheel splines to the steering shaft to

ensure proper installation.
