Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair
Rear Suspension
1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist then remove the shock absorber to frame bracket nuts and bolts.
2. Remove the shock absorber to anchor plate nut and washer.
3. Detach the old shock absorber from the vehicle.
4. Attach the new shock absorber to the lower anchor plate, do not attach the washer or nut.
2. Attach the shock absorber to the frame bracket with the bolts and nuts and tighten the nuts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs).
3. Install the lower anchor plate washer and nut, tightening the nut to 84 Nm (62 ft. lbs.) then lower the vehicle.
