Drive/Propeller Shaft: Service and Repair
Front Propeller Shaft Replacement
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Rear propeller shaft.
2. Support bearing nuts, washers, bolts, and washers.
3. Propeller shaft with support bearing from crossmember, and from transmission or transfer case.
INSTALL OR CONNECT

Both propeller shafts must be reinstalled with the universal joints in phase.
1. Propeller shaft with support bearing to transmission or transfer case, and to crossmember.
2. Support bearing bolts with washers to support bearing.
3. Nuts with washers to support bearing bolts.

Tighten:
Nuts to 70 Nm (50 ft. lbs.).
4. Rear propeller shaft.
