AFFECTED VEHICLES

SERVICE INFORMATION

On some affected vehicles, a rattling noise may be heard coming from the catalytic converter. This rattling results from cracking of the catalytic
converter heat shield due to metal fatigue.

To correct the problem, install a new heat shield (Part No. 8-97130-025-0) using the procedure described in this Service Bulletin. The new heat shield
has been reinforced to provide improved fatigue resistance.
