SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Record all radio station presets and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2.
If failure of only one side is determined, remove the front door panel of that side and skip to Step 4.
3.
Remove both driver and passenger side front door panels.
4.
Examine the tweeter harness for short or exposed wires. (Figure 1 and Figure 2)

Driver's side: 2 wires leading to connection D-4.

Passenger's side: 2 wires leading to connection D-13.
Refer to Electrical Trouble Shooting Manual for detailed circuit schematic information.
5.
Repair wire(s) as necessary.
6.
When re-installing door panel, use caution to prevent damage to the harness and route harness away from any door or door panel edges.
NOTE
Prior to installation, the excess slack of the tweeter harness may be taped away from the edges of the door panel or clips.
7.
Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery, and reset the radio presets and the clock.
8.
Test the audio system to confirm proper audio operation.
9.
If any audio operation is incorrect or inoperative, inspect the fuse.
10.
If the fuse is not open, return the head unit for repair.
