Heat surrounding edges of the door mirror glass with a heat gun to soften the mirror holder. (Figure 1)
NOTE
Do not overheat the painted surface.

Carefully remove the mirror glass from its holder, using a plastic Bondo spreader or equivalent. (Figure 2)
3.
Disconnect the connections to the heating element from the mirror glass. (Figure 3)
