REPAIR the circuit between the diagnostic connector IP022 pin 2, (Y) harness side and the IC IP005 pin 19, (Y) harness side. TEST for
normal operation.

-> No

Go to E5 See: Pinpoint Tests/E : Generic Electronic Module (GEM)/E5 : Check OBD2 Connector Bus Bar "-" (U) to GEM For Open 

E5 : Check OBD2 Connector Bus Bar "-" (U) to GEM For Open

1. Measure the resistance between the diagnostic connector IP022 pin 10, (U) harness side and the GEM IP005 pin 18, (U) harness side.

-

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

-> YES

REPAIR the circuit between the diagnostic connector IP022 pin 10, (U) harness side and the IC IP005 pin 18, (U) harness side. TEST for
normal operation.

-> No

INSTALL a new GEM. TEST for normal operation.

F1 : Check PCM For Damage

1. Disconnect the PCM EN016.
2. INSPECT the PCM for damage.

-

Does the PCM indicate any signs of damage?

-> YES

INSTALL a new PCM. TEST the system for normal operation.

-> No

Go to F2 See: Pinpoint Tests/F : Powertrain Control Module (PCM)/F2 : Check Control Area Network (CAN) Circuit (Y) For Voltage 

F2 : Check Control Area Network (CAN) Circuit (Y) For Voltage

1. Connect the PCM EN016.
2. Switch the ignition to the RUN position.
3. Measure the voltage between the diagnostic connector IP022 pin 6, (Y) data bus plus harness side and GROUND.

-

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?

-> YES

Go to F3 See: Pinpoint Tests/F : Powertrain Control Module (PCM)/F3 : Check Can Ground Circuit (G) 

-> No

REPAIR the circuit bus bar plus (Y). TEST the system for normal operation.

F3 : Check Can Ground Circuit (G)

1. Switch the ignition to the OFF position.
2. Measure the resistance between the diagnostic connector IP022 pin 14, (G) data bus minus harness side and GROUND.

-

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

-> YES

Go to F4 See: Pinpoint Tests/F : Powertrain Control Module (PCM)/F4 : Check PCM to OBD2 Bus Bar Plus Circuit (Y) For Open 

-> No

REPAIR the circuit bus bar minus (G). TEST the system for normal operation.

F4 : Check PCM to OBD2 Bus Bar Plus Circuit (Y) For Open
