Kia Optima workshop manuals
Kia Optima at a glance: 7 manuals, covering 2001 to 2011 models, with engines from 2.0 to 2.7 litres.
About the Optima
The Optima is Kia's mid-size saloon, made since 2000 and called the Magentis in Europe and Canada and later the K5. Until 2005 it was a rebadged Hyundai Sonata, differing only in styling details and equipment. The second generation moved further from the Sonata but kept its engines, and the third generation of 2010 added Hybrid and Turbo models.
What these manuals cover
- 2001–2003 (first generation): the 2.4-litre four and the 2.7-litre V6.
- 2006–2007 (second generation): the 2.4 four and the 2.7 V6.
- 2011 (third generation): the 2.4 four, the 2.0 turbo and the 2.4 Hybrid.
Tip: the 2001–2005 Optima is a rebadged Hyundai Sonata, and the Sonata manuals of those years cover the same car.
