Optima V6-2.7L (2003)
A new 32MB Reprogramming Card is being provided to accommodate reprogramming software due to the fact that the existing 16MB card (yellow
label) is at the limit of its storage capacity. This card is provided with the Optima 2.7L ECM Upgrade pre-installed.
This card will be used for future Hi-Scan Pro re-programming software. All reprogramming software previously issued will remain on the 16MB (yellow
label) reprogramming card and will not be carried over to the new card.
REPROGRAMMING PROCEDURE:
*NOTICE
Conduct reprogramming with the ignition key in the "ON" position. Be careful NOT to disconnect any cables connected to the vehicle or Hi-Scan
Pro during reprogramming.
If reprogramming is interrupted, the manual update procedure must be used.
Do not start the engine during reprogramming.
Do not turn the ignition key OFF during reprogramming.
When the reprogramming is completed, turn OFF the ignition key for 20 seconds before starting the engine.
Before Starting Procedure:
Check the production date on the FMVSS door label to verify that the vehicle is within the production range shown.
To prepare for reprogramming in case of an error, write down the old and new ECM IDs displayed on the Hi-Scan Pro screen during the automatic
update procedure.
The recorded ECM IDs will be used if the Hi-Scan Pro fails to automatically download the new ECM software.
