4. Remove transaxle in numbered sequence shown in Fig. 10, noting the following:

a. Suspend engine with engine support tool No. 0K201 170 AA0, or equivalent, and remove engine mount member.
b. Remove clutch release cylinder bolts and reposition clutch release cylinder for clearance. Do not disconnect hydraulic line.
c. Remove driveshaft clinch bolt as shown in Fig. 11.
d. Disconnect lower control arm from knuckle with a suitable pry bar.
e. Separate driveshaft from transaxle using a pry bar inserted between outer ring and transaxle.
f.

Suspend driveshaft with a rope to avoid damage.

g. To remove transaxle, loosen engine support tool, allowing engine to lean toward transaxle, then support transaxle with a suitable transaxle jack

and remove transaxle mounting bolts.

h. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten to specifications.
