2. If not already wrapped, wrap the wheel side splines with suitable tape and install a new boot with a new clamp.
Notice: The wheel side and differential side boots are not identical.
3. Align disassembly reference marks and put ball bearings into the inner ring.
4. Install the cage, inner ring and ball assembly to the halfshaft in the direction shown.
Notice: Install the cage with the big end facing the snap ring groove. If installed in reverse, the drive shaft may become disengaged.
5. Using snap-ring pliers, install a new snap ring into the halfshaft groove.
