Transfer Case Mount: Service and Repair

TRANSFER CASE SIDE MOUNT (4X4 ONLY) 
Removal 

1. Raise the vehicle and support it with safety stands.

2. Remove the two bolts and two nuts from the transfer case side mount and remove the mount.

Inspection 

Inspect the transfer case side mount for cracking or brittle rubber, and bent or damaged flanges. Replace if necessary.

Installation 

1. Replace the mount. Reinstall two bolts and two nuts.

Tightening torque: 38 ft. lbs. (52 Nm). 

2. Lower the vehicle.
