Mark transfer gearbox on lower case flat with supplied marker (figure 6).

SITUATION:

NOTE:

This Bulletin replaces Technical Information Bulletin 41/02/96/US and 41/01/97/NAS. TRANSFER GEARBOX SEAL LEAKS

A new seal lip can become damaged by wear marks or damage on the seal journal of the original output flange. Leaks from the front or rear seals of
LT230 transfer gearboxes may reoccur if complete seal sets including the output flange are not used in the repair.

RESOLUTION:

INSTALL COMPLETE SEAL/FLANGE KITS

Use only the complete flange kits listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section of this TIB when repairing output seals on the LT230 transfer gearbox.
