Glovebox lamp
When the lighting switch is set to side lamps or headlamps, battery power is supplied from the switch (C041-4) to fuse 16 in the passenger compartment fuse box (C587-5) by a red wire. Power from fuse 16 is supplied from the passenger compartment fuse box (C589-19) to the glovebox lamp on red/orange wire, then from the glovebox lamp (C235-1) to the glovebox switch (C238-1) on a black/red wire. When the glovebox opens, the glovebox switch closes to illuminate the glovebox lamp by connecting the switch (C222-1) to earth on a black wire.
Automatic operation
A battery feed from fuse 14 is supplied by purple wires from the passenger compartment fuse box (C583-2) to the ignition switch illumination (C049-4) and the load space lamp (C119-1), and from the passenger compartment fuse box (C580-7) to either the interior lamp unit (C357-3) or the front (C355-3) and rear (C356-1) interior lamps. Earth connections for the lamps are provided by purple/white wires between the lamps and a common input to the CCU (C593A) via header joint K109 and the passenger compartment fuse box (C580-14).
The CCU receives door status inputs from all the door switches, which are open circuit when their related door is closed and earthed by black wires connected to the earth header joint when the door is open. Door status is input on a black/orange wire from the tail door switch (C616-2) to the CCU (C428-23); on a purple/white wire from the RH front door switch (C441-6) to an in-line connection (C439-3), and purple/slate wire from the in-line connection (C396-3) to the CCU (C428-24); on purple/white wire from the LH front door switch (C441-6), RH rear door switch (C442-6) and LH rear door switch (C442-6) to the CCU (C428-21).
