Steering Column Shaft (57.40.22)
Removal

1 .
Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to
Specifications
(Section 414-
00)
2 .
Remove the driver side closing trim panel.
Release the clip.
Remove the 2 screws.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
3 .
Disconnect the steering column intermediate shaft from the steering column.
Note the fitted position.
Remove the special bolt and discard the nut.
4 .
Disconnect the steering column intermediate shaft from the lower shaft.
Note the fitted position.
Remove and discard the bolt.
