CAUTION: Make sure the ball joint seal is not damaged. A damaged seal will lead to the premature failure of the joint.

6. Using the special tool, release the LH rear lower arm from the wheel knuckle.

Remove the nut.

7. Remove the LH rear lower arm.

Remove and discard the bolt.

8. Remove the LH rear lower arm ball joint.

Remove and discard the 2 bolts.

Installation

CAUTION: Make sure that new bolts are installed.

1. Install the LH rear lower arm ball joint.

Tighten the bolts to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).

WARNING: Make sure that a new bolt is installed.

CAUTION: Only tighten the nuts and bolts when the suspension is in the normal drive position.

2. Install the LH rear lower arm.

^

Tighten the nut and bolt to 165 Nm (121 ft. lbs.). plus a further 90 degrees.
