Load the data from the previous ECU (stored in TIS Techstream) into the newly installed ECU by following the prompts on TIS Techstream.

4.

Turn the engine switch OFF.

5.

Turn the engine switch ON.

6.

Clear the DTCs stored in the memory.

ECU Initialization Procedure

NOTE:

Immediately after the battery terminal is reconnected, the main body ECU will NOT function, and the smart access system will NOT operate. To
activate the main body ECU, perform a wireless door unlock or lock operation.

If the battery has been discharged, the engine CANNOT be started even after the battery has been recharged because the steering lock position
CANNOT be recognized correctly.

To start the engine after the battery terminal is reconnected, perform the following steps:

1.

To allow the steering lock ECU to learn the steering lock position, initialize the steering lock ECU.

A.

Open and close the driver's door.

B.

Wait for 10 seconds or more.

2.

Re-initialize any affected power systems.

Refer to TSIB No. PD007-07, "Power System Initialization During PDS".
