About the GS
The GS ("Grand Sedan") is Lexus's mid-size performance saloon, sold outside Japan from 1993 and in Japan as the Toyota Aristo until 2005. It sat between the IS and the flagship LS, used rear-wheel drive with six- and eight-cylinder engines, and shared its chassis with the Toyota Crown until 2011. The first generation's body was styled by Italdesign Giugiaro.
