Installation

ENGINE IMMOBILIZER: CERTIFICATION ECU: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)

(a) Engage the clamp.
(b) Install the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) with the 2 bolts.
(c) Connect the connectors.

2. INSTALL REAR ACCELERATION SENSOR (w/ AVS) See: Sensors and Switches/Sensors and Switches - Steering and Suspension/Sensors and

Switches - Suspension/Acceleration Sensor/Service and Repair/Rear Acceleration Sensor/Installation

3. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM INNER COVER RH See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Trunk / Liftgate/Service

and Repair/Installation

4. INSTALL FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Fuel Door/Fuel Door Release

5. INSTALL ROPE HOOK

7. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY
8. INSTALL TOOL BOX See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Trunk / Liftgate/Service and Repair/Installation
9. INSTALL TOOL BOX BOARD

10. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM SIDE COVER RH See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Trunk / Liftgate/Service and

Repair/Installation

11. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM SIDE COVER LH See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Trunk / Liftgate/Service and

Repair/Installation

12. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Trunk / Liftgate/Service and

Repair/Installation

13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and Inspection/Programming
and Relearning.

14. INSPECT ADAPTIVE VARIABLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM (w/ AVS)

(a) Inspect the adaptive variable suspension system See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing

Diagnostic Trouble Codes/Adaptive Variable Suspension System.

15. REGISTER ECU COMMUNICATION ID

NOTE:
When replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), perform initialization  See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Antitheft
and Alarm Systems/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Engine Immobilizer System.

16. REGISTER KEY

NOTE:
When replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), perform initialization  See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Antitheft
and Alarm Systems/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Engine Immobilizer System.
