Evaporative Check Valve: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation.
2. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP
3. REMOVE FUEL TANK CAP
a. Press the lid switch to release the pressure in the fuel tank.
b. Remove the fuel tank cap.
4. REMOVE NO.2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR
a. Remove the 2 nuts and protector.
5. REMOVE FUEL VAPOR CONTAINMENT VALVE
a. Disconnect the fuel vapor containment valve connector and clamp.
b. Disconnect the 2 fuel tank vent hoses from the vapor containment valve.
1. Pinch the retainer and then raise it.
