Make sure that SST is securely set to the rear axle carrier spacer.

^

If the rear axle carrier spacer has come off, replace the rear axle carrier with a new one.

^

Make sure that the string of SST is securely tied to the vehicle.

16. REMOVE REAR UPPER NO. 1 CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY

(a)

Jack up the rear axle so that the bolt on the rear upper No. 1 control arm can be removed.

HINT: 
Place a wooden block between the jack and rear axle carrier to prevent damage to the rear axle carrier.

(b) Remove the bolt, washer and nut, and the rear upper No. 1 control arm from the rear axle carrier.

17. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY

(a)

Remove the bolt and nut, and separate the rear suspension arm from the rear axle carrier.

NOTICE: 
Turn the bolt while holding the nut.

18. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY

(a)

Remove the bolt and nut, and separate the rear No. 2 suspension arm from the rear axle carrier.

NOTICE: 
Turn the bolt while holding the nut.

19. DISCONNECT TOE CONTROL LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a)

Remove the nut from the toe control link.
