Compressor HVAC: Service and Repair
Removal
HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR: REMOVAL
1. PRECAUTION

w/ Navigation System:
NOTICE:
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the
cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM See: Service and Repair
3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal
4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal
5. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the radiator assembly See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Radiator/Service and Repair/Radiator/Removal.
6. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Hybrid Battery Service
Switch/Service and Repair/Removal
7. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Hybrid Battery Service Switch/Service and
Repair/Removal
8. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE
CAUTION:
*
Do not touch the high voltage connectors and terminals for 10 minutes after the hybrid battery supply plug assembly is removed.
*
Wear insulated gloves.
NOTICE:
Do not start the engine with the hybrid battery supply plug assembly removed because it may cause a malfunction.
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and connector cover assembly.
NOTICE:
Make sure to pull the inverter cover straight up, as a connector is connected to the bottom of the cover.
(b) Check the terminal voltage See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Power Control System/Voltage Converter/Service and Repair/Inverter With
Converter/Removal.
CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves.
(c) Temporarily install the connector cover with the bolt to prevent any foreign objects or water from entering the inverter with converter
assembly.
