Keyless Entry Transmitter Battery: Service and Repair

DOOR LOCK: TRANSMITTER BATTERY: REPLACEMENT

1. REPLACE TRANSMITTER BATTERY (for Standard)

NOTICE:
Take extra care when handling these precision electronic components.

(a) Push and hold the release knob in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration. Then take the mechanical key out of the case.

(b) for Type A:

(1) Insert a precision screwdriver into the gap and turn the screwdriver to detach the cover.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(2) Insert a precision screwdriver into the gap and remove the battery (lithium battery: CR1632).

NOTICE:
*

When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching,
for example, the vehicle to prevent the electrical transmitter from being damaged.

*

Do not push the terminals with your finger.

*

Do not forcibly pry up the battery (lithium battery) because doing so will deform the terminals.

*

Do not touch the battery with wet hands. Water may result in corrosion.

*

Do not touch or move any components inside the transmitter because handling the components may interfere with proper
operation of the transmitter.

(3) Install a battery (lithium battery: CR1632) with the positive (+) side facing upward, as shown in the illustration.
