When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

4. REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

Repair/Overhaul/Disassembly

5. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service

and Repair/Overhaul/Disassembly

6. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
When storing the front passenger airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Disengage the 5 hooks (A).

(c) Disengage the 5 hooks (B) to remove the front passenger airbag assembly from the instrument panel safety pad assembly as shown in the

illustration.

7. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

(a) Disengage the 2 clamps.
