With the door closed, apply pressure on the door and latch striker plate to take up any clearance between the latch and the hole. Tighten
screws to specified torque.

Torque: 1.65 N.m

(16.8 kgf.cm; 14.6 in.lbf)

Test the glove box door operation to ensure proper latching. If the door does NOT latch properly, loosen the screws and adjust.

Be sure to leave zero clearance between the latch and the hole to prevent reoccurrence of the rattle.

Reassemble in reverse order of disassembly.

Reattach the negative (-) battery cable.

8.

Test drive the vehicle to confirm that the noise is gone.

9.

Program the radio presets and set the clock.
