CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation.
NOTE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and
settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery
terminal.

6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE

(a) for Standard Body:

(1) Remove the rear door scuff plate ( See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Roof Headlining (for

Standard Body)/Removal).

(b) for Long Body:

(1) Remove the rear door scuff plate ( See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Roof Headlining (for

Long Body)/Removal).

7. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Roof Headlining

(for Standard Body)/Removal

8. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH UPPER See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Roof Headlining

(for Standard Body)/Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE

(a) Remove the 2 screws and belt guide.

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the nut and shoulder anchor.

(b) Disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration labeled A.
(c) Disconnect the tension reducer connector labeled B.
(d) W/ Pre-collision system:

Disconnect the pre-collision connector labeled C.
